I have an 05' electra Cop bike with the solo air ride seat. I love the ride but want to switch in the spring to a new 2up seat for passenger.
I am going back and forth with what to get.
option #1: keep the comfy air ride and buy a passenger pillon and backrest (removable) ($269)
Oprtion#2 : replace the entire seat with a new Screamin Eagle seat and backrest - looks nice and sleek ($379)
Option 3: I have been looking at the tall seat to give me more room and length (i am 6'4 and would benefit from the 1/2 inch up and back design) ($279)
is it worth the "TALL" riders seat upgrade? anyone have this?
should i keep the comfort air ride and just go with the removable passenger
I bought the H-D tall boy seat and it's not as comfortable as the stock seat I got on my 07 Road Glide IMO. Didn't really see much difference in leg room either. Added bubbasbrakes forward kit that moved the floorboards forward 2" (along with the extended brake and shifter levers). They also have a great brake pedal set-up (doesn't cover up the whole width of the floorboard and leaves room on the outside).
your welcome. you will probably have to get the rear seat nut from your local dealer. it fits in the keyhole shaped hole in the rear fender (under the little black plastic cap) and is held on by a retaining clip. use a piece of wire to pull it up thru the hole so you don't have to fight the rear tire.
