Default 2012 FLHTK decel vibration?

I don't necessarily think I have a problem but I do need to ask. This bike has a vibration that is 3 times as hard as accelerating or idleing. Kinda hard to explain really. It only does it when engine braking and does not matter what RPM it is in.

My question is, is this normal?
Sorry if I am asking a stupid question. My last Harley was in 1995 and was a Dyna Wide glide. I have spent the last 4 years on a Goldwing and several other imports since the mid 90's.
I honestly do not remember feeling a decel vibration like this back then.

Something to worry about? or not?
The bike runs fine other than that.

it could be a clearance problem, something like a heat shield clamp touching the frame only while decal?

And it's not a noise, it is a full bike vibration/shaking.
Bike is brand new with 200 miles, bought it last week.
I just don't want to take it to the dealer for something that may be normal. I would rather look like a fool here than at the dealer.........lol.

I would have the dealer look at it.

Sounds pretty normal to me. I had a fatboy before my glide so I was used to a balanced and rigid mounted motor. Any touring bike I've ever ridden does as you describe to some extent while decelerating.

Thank's for the replies. Sounds like it is just the nature of the beast. I will talk to the service dept. next time I am at the dealer about it.

Don't sound right to me ! I am running the same model and year, and is very smooth ! Just taking a shot here, but I'de check the primary chain and finial drive belt tensions.
Something is not right, good luck, Craig

Try a second gear 2500 rpm clutch dump while riding. This will adjust the primary chain. My 2012 flhtk was singing I tried it and all got quite
