I am in the process of installing my harley Adj backrest I bought off the classifieds on my 08 Street Glide. Its like the seat hardly fits and the front part of the passenger section is kinda bulged up. Also you can see the the bracket that is under the seat. Is this normal? Can anyone post pics of their seat without the backrest portion showing?
This is looking down on seat
This is the seat tab, still need to go an inch forward to make the seat bolt line up
If you push it forward it bulges the seat up for passenger part

Try moving the mounting bracket either forward or back on the mounting holes , it sounds like you have it mounted too far to the rear, drop the bracket further down towards the fender, that should straighten the angle out.
