it does not, you can do jsut the canned map or do a smart tune.

I think a proper tune is good even on a stage 1. I have the tts master tune on my stage 1 103 and am just under 100 ft/lbs of torq (99 and change) but more impressive is how smooth the throttle response is at any rpm and all the while getting high 40's mpg at 70-75mph.

the sert has several calibrations that if your set up matches one of the calibrations or is very close just down load that map and run it, other wise it it comes with a smart tune feature that lets you gather data while riding and then you use that data to create a map.
