I have the black ones from JEScustom accents on my ultra. They work as advertised. Here are some pics:
Do you think that the Jescustoms by themselves would work on just a street glide with no fairing mounted ones? (P.S., love that color combo on yours!!)

Yes they would work with no lower fairings as well. They also sell other versions of the fork deflectors as well.
The "recurve" option on the clear view shield works well. It will kick the wind basically 2 or more inches up and over/away from your ears/head. The triangular gizmos Dawg has and the recurve windshield definitely improve the buffeting enough where I can enjoy my radio at 80 mph.
I don't have lowers on my ole lady, but do have the factory oval fog lights, mounted on the engine bar. These deflectors obscure them, so I haven't tried any. Has anyone come across a short version that works and lets the fog lights shine forth?
I run the factory h-d chrome lower ones on my 09 ultra. if you loosen the lowers and pull them out slightly they will fit with plenty of clearance. not only do mine fit, but I have 2 friends who did the same thing with the same results. kevdon
yep. wind deflectors really work. keep the wind from coming right up and into the face area.
I have an 09 Ultra with a 6 inch recurve windshield and no head buffeting. I fit a pair of chrome wind deflectors I used on my 05. I just elongated the mounting holes in them and pulled the passing lamp bracket away from the fairing and walla. comes very very close to the lowers but doesn't touch and I get full turn. plus I got to use something I already had.
I also have the same lower deflectors from Jescustoms that Dawg has and they do work as advertised. I am very satisfied with them.
I TOO JUST INSTALLED the exact same deflectors this week because of this thread on my FLHTK and have finaly solved the buffering that was driving me crazy..for what its worth, I recomend them.
