Beautiful riding weather in S.Louisiana all day Saturday, So I decide to take the geezer bagger out for a spin, I make a few stops at all the usual bike bars. I stopped at one and there's three Warriors and one V-Max setting outside, I go in for a beer and these young kids talking, loud enough for me to hear them, about how slow those big as Harley's are, I haven't run a Warrior yet so I wasn't sure, but what the hell I stepped up and ask if any of them wanted to try a big as Harley, no hesitation one of them jumped on it. We pull out on the two lane road and from about 10mph we hit'em, I smoked the Warrior's ***, really bad. We get back to the bar he's shaking his head as we pull up, I'm grinning like a possum eating *hit. The V-Max owner is on his bike before we get stopped, lets go, we run the same way from 10mph and go, I pulled the V-Max through 4 gears, not a lot but I still pulled him, speedo pegged at 120mph and the V-Max starts to slowly pull away.
I love these Big *** Harley Baggers, and made believers out of a few young kids, after that they bought me a beer and started talking about Harley's
Cool. Now they can all sell their bikes and maybe together have enough money for one Harley They could take turns!
Seriously... cool story. Merry Christmas.

You are obviously running a highly modified motor then....so tell us about it. The V-Max is one of the fastest bikes made and no near stock bagger is going to be even close.
I would have to call BS on the V-Max. Unless his was broke or he flat did not know how to ride. I was notthere so I am not going to call anyone a lier but there is no way a bagger even got close to that V-Max. Havingrode several V-Max's, owned twocrotch rockets, and on my second Harley there is no way a a person would even get a good look at that V'Max's tail light on a Harley, sorry. This is not even afair race.A Max would eat that bagger for breakfast, lunch dinner, and desert.
uhhh.....there is something missin here in this race.......I had a Warrior for a couple years, and have an '06 SG and there is no question in stock form which one stomps the other....the Warrior is one powerful Sport Cruiser and would spank my SG even with tthe PCIII and Fat Cat pipe. The V max would dust them both......you must have a very nicely modified SG......in the twisties the Warrior is the best cornering V twin I have ever riden.......I'm not comfortable on the SG in the triple digits and just don't go there, to me that is Sport Touring territory and a stock crusiser is just not set up for that type of speed......just got back from a little Christmas Eve run on my K1200GT....now that baby loves doing the ton and begs for more............gonna go for a little cruise on the SG with my girl a little later to visit some friends....what a great day here in Virginia but we have monster rain coming tomorrow.
best post on the net....kudo's HP...git on em...you & i are peas in a pod [8D]

The V-max is much lighter, and may have lost some off the launch to wheel spin even from 10mph....but that would still have to be a highly modified bagger to hang with the V-max's V-4 1200cc monster mill. I've always wanted one of those bikes; and a guy from work just bought a new 06 model last summer, so I got to look at his nearly every day in the parking lot.[8D]
