Default streetglide tires

OK i have 30 K on my streetglide and hate the oem tires. My buddy with an ultra just put the dunlop american elite on. Those tires rock! They dont make a front for the SG.
Any recomendations for a front on a streetglide for aggresive riding?
130/70/18
I have two nice trips coming up and I really want some better shoes before heading out.

The Am Elite are supposed to be the same as OE just without the HD on the sidewall, so wouldn't think there would be that much difference, a lot cheaper though. As far as a 130/70-18 I'd go with the Dunlop Elite 3 in bias ply, should match up OK.

american elite has a different profile and tread pattern. They are smoother when tipping in a corner and the new tread pattern makes them deal with grooves and tar snakes much better.

Interesting--- the local indy tire guy's sales pitch is "exactly the same with out the logo"

I haven't looked at them side by each, but I'll keep that in mind

Got the American Elite's on my 2010 Ultra. I love em so far! The tread pattern is different. They are still duel compound. They seem to be wearing much better than the OEM tires did. The road snakes are hardly noticable anymore.

Yep, definately quite a bit different tread pattern. I've got a couple new American Elites sitting in my garage waiting to go on, replacing the 407/408 combo that have served me very well.

For those that haven't seen them they have a shape like a motorcycle radial tire. profile is a little different also. Huge improvemnt over the 407-408.
Dunlop says they will make one for the SG in late 12 or early 13.
guess ill wait.

You asked about tyres for aggressive riding, which suggests to me either Metzeler or Avon. My preferred choice for riding in European conditions on my Harleys has been Avon for a long time. Smoother ride, better grip and handling, especially when the going gets tough! Check their website for your model and year.
