Default Drivers Backrest

Does anybody have one of the Kurakyn Drivers Backrest? Thoughts? Looks like a nice piece for $180.00

I don't think it's hit the market yet. I first discovered it on the Kuryakyn website in maybe December and it said that it would be available in February, then it was April, now it's showing May. I'm interested in it, too, but they might miss me due to non-availability. Am looking at the Utopia right now. I need a backrest that kind of puts me sitting upright and slightly forward from the back of the driver's portion of the seat.

Thats where I'm at as well. Harley's non adjustable is said to do that....Upright and slightly forward positioning? I just looked at the Utopia. Looks like it would be more than comfortable. However, it's a little larger than what I would want.

I have the HD one also. It really is adjustable. Has 3 different heights and I think three back/forward positions. I like it a lot.

KCFLHRC, is yours the adjustable one with the cable or the one that you move it by bolting it in different holes on the backrest?

I bought the one where you bolt it in different holes. It really is well worth the money. Forces you to sit upright instead of hunching over. Much better for your back and neck. I have screwed up discs in my neck anyway and this really helps.

I have the cable-operated H-D backrest. Works well, helps posture and allows you to move it forward/back while on the road to adjust position. Two things to consider: #1 make sure there is room for your passenger with the rest installed (or remove it and use her as the backrest), #2 The unit does not fold forward very far (for ease of passenger access), if you push it too far forward, it will tear your seat apart.

I have the Utopia backrest... the best you can get Can be adjusted forward...backwards & up and down... no cables required... no bracket need to bolt to your fender. It is somewhat wide but moan... it feels so good to have all that support on long rides!

here is a link to check out: http://www.utpr.com/roadking.html
