Have an 09 Street glide with a detachable chopped tour pack. Beneath the tour pack and just above the rear fender there is a lot of wasted space. Wasted in terms of storage while on a road trip. Right now I strap my travel rain cover under the tour pack. It saves me some space in my saddle bags and chopped TP. Was wondering if anyone else utilizes this space? What do you put there? How do you stow it?
I measured the space to be approx. 9 1/2" W x 5" H x 5" D.
Yeah you're right..There is a bit of unused space..
Same bike different color, same tour pak too.
My guess would be that is for your passenger's back rest?
To have the best of both worlds sort of speak.
I love my chopped pak though!!
One of the most practical things bought for the bike.

All Touring models use the same mounting hardware for the Tour Pack. However, some models have the license plate bracket mounted above the tail light. That is "what goes there" on other models.
Yep, its where the license plate goes on the Ultra Classic. Ugly as h3ll there. I went with the Road King Standard turn signal bar & put the license plate under the tail light. The bar has a tag light built in, simply put the chrome cover over the Ultra tail light lense to cover the clear tail light section that illuminated the tag.
