By the time you pay for the seat mod(s), you can find a good used Sundowner..
While its true immeadiate relief can be found in a plush seat......its going to cost ya.....imo The *** needs to break into the seat. Not the seat to the ***. Wouldn't trade my stock SG seat for anything.
My mustang seat was by far the best mod I've done to the bike. It has a fairly comfortable passenger pillion as well.
Shop around. They come up on the forum for sale fairly cheap.
Mine's not happy with the stock seat either. She won't go on a long ride. My tailbone hurts after 30 minutes. Not fun. I wish you could try these aftermarket seats out before spending hundreds of dollars on them.
I have a C&C fastback that I ride solo with about 80-85% of the time. But I break out the Sundowner couch for the wife. She never complains and we have many 500+ mile days.
