Question Works Shocks

I investigating getting some new shocks for my 2010 RK. Looking at all options, including Ohlins and Progressive. I am interested in if anyone on this forum has bought the Works shocks for their touring bike. Any information as to performance, including whether you are happy with them, and pricing would be greatly appreciated.

I ran PG's for several years and then changed over to Works Street Trackers. Although I'm pretty sure they're not as good as the Ohlins I much prefer them over the PG's. I think they're a bit more $$ than the PG's but for me they're worth it. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again.

I had a pair of street trackers that I ran on two different touring bikes over about 20,000 miles. I thought they were fantastic. I had a set of Ohlins on my last bike and must say that I liked the Works a little better. Where the Works excel is their adjustability. I go between solo and two up quite a bit. The adjustment system on the Works seems seems to function better than the system on the Ohlins and makes more of a difference in the ride. It is very quick and easy to adjust the ARS system and it requires no tools. Both brands will provide a great ride. After 20,000 miles I think the Works could use a rebuild. They are still out in the garage and I may use them again some day. I think Works charges around $150 for a complete rebuild when the time comes.
If you do decide on the Works, order them direct from the factory and have them set-up for your bike and you and your passengers weight. Do not buy the stock versions from Drag Specialities. You are taking a gamble that they will be right for your application.

Thank you for the input. I will see about contacting the folks at Works - have been to their website.

Anyone have any prices on these? I won't likely pay more than what Ohlins cost.

I am going to call BS on the more adjust ability comment, Ohlins are built custom to you , and then you adjust from there, you just plain are not going to get that from a shock not built for you.
I used to race a Moto Cross quad, I had Ohlins on the front, broke one in a race so I bought a set of remote resie Works shocks to race the next race, they were pretty good but not the Ohlins, and they were much cheaper.
Oh ,and I am not one of the people who praise Howard or anything, I have not bought shocks from him, and not sure that I will.

As are my Works, not saying the Works are better just saying they are custom built for the rider/passenger/load.

Glad this hit the board. I'd love some new Ohlins, but if the Works are nearly as good, and significantly less $$, then I'll probably roll with them.
