Default new battery on it's way!

Ok, so after 7 years, the original battery in my Electra Glide finally died. Just ordered a new one from a place called Batterymart.com. It's called a "Big Crank ETX30L" and claims to be oem equivalent. 400 cca, made in the US and AGM technology. Hopefully this thing will give me decent service for a few years. I'm not expecting it to hold up for 7 years like the original, but it sure would be nice! Cost was $98 with free shipping (ground). Cost is/was a big factor for me, otherwise I would have just stuck with the dealer batt. But I'll keep my fingers crossed!

It should last, it's also made by Deka which makes the HD battery so it is one and the same.

Thanks Dawg. Good to hear. Funny how much of a price discrepancy there is!

Just installed the same one my self, Troll from the the same outfit plus a new battery tender which is already hooked up on the new battery.
Perfect fit.
No issues.. I was gonna charge it up, and hooked it up to the charger but it was already charged so thought it a waste of time.

A little less than $90 bucks..w/their first time sign up of 10 % off.
HD one which is the same one was about a buck eighty I think.

Oh and I been up in your neck o' the woods too Troll, as in Pittsfield.
It snows and rains there too much for me..

Want to read a reply I got from Deka?

"Thank you for your recent inquiry. If your motorcycle is in fact a Harley 1584 CC Touring series then we do not manufacture the OEM battery for this application. It also indicates you can use a YIX30L manufactured by Yuasa or the ETX30L manufactured by East Penn. Keep in mind that the ETX30L does not meet OEM specs.

Please feel free to contact us with any further questions."

You'd better spend the buck eighty then from HD so your's will meet specs...so you'll be on the safe side.
I'll take my chances..
