After getting used to it, I use the heal shifter all the time. I dont even think about it anymore. I also think neutral is easier to find with the heal shifter.

What? Remove a heel shifter? Wow, a for sure you gotta be kidding me. Everything is down folks, pretty simple. I couldn't go back. As far as getting things caught....use caution, don't be in a hurry and stay sober, S.O.P.

When I got this bike, I took the heel shifter off. Paid for it, try it. I did and now I would not ride without it. I do have the extended floorboard and the mod shifter. love it.

It's much easier for me to push down with my heel than to pull up with my toe. Been doing that for 40 years.

Don't like the heel shifter............got a good looking spacer....keep the extra shifter in the saddlebag.....just in case..........

Bought the angled heel leaver knowing from the start that the standard one took up lots of my options to where I could put my foot on the boards but even with it at the 45 degree angle it still was in my way. Then I put the 1 inch board extenders on and it made things a bit better. Seams to me if I wear boots with heel it's more of a hassle because I have to lift my leg to use it but if boots with no heels are worn it works quite well. The way I like it best is with the angled heel shifter off and moved to the front slid all the way to the outside with a piece of clear tubing to fill the gap and keep things tight. Now I can ride with my feet directly under me or completely forward with the tips of my boots resting on the highway pegs.

1st thing that comes off for me. I cannot shift with a heel shift. Tried it each time I changed bike and it was too strange to use the heel shift.

You obviously want it off, so take if off...
