Biker90 - I have looked at this many times. The P&A catalog has a kit to do the whole deal except the speakers, cb antenna, lights, and the intercom/radio controls. You can find the CB antenna kit pretty easy in there also. It is pretty much the kit that adds the antenna to a Street Glide/Electraglide Classic. There is supposed to be another kit to add to the main one for the Ultra Classic. I have not checked into it as of yet though. I talked to the dealer tech and he said that he had to just get molex connectors for the stuff that HD didn't make a kit for. But I believe the 2012 P&A has the new add on kit for the lights, speakers, cb antenna, and all the other stuff. All total is about $500+ for the parts if you can get them at 20% off from an online dealer.
I installed the detachable kit AFTER I had taken my bike to a friendly auto sparky up the road. All the wiring runs under the seat and up to the Tour Pack so I had me mate clip the wires and antenna cables and install the appropriate waterproof connectors. (or you could spend money with HD and buy their wiring kit) After that the install of the detach kit was a doddle. in the kit is a new chromed base upon which the actual Tour Pack "box" is mounted, this base has variable mounting points so you can either reduce or increase the space available to the passenger.
The HD detail for ordering is as follows (check it out on the HD website)

doddle?
I'm completely fluent in good ol' American southern redneck, but I'd like a definition if ya get the chance...
There's more to it than just the hardware. Removing the tour pak only takes a few minutes. Disconnecting all of the wires is something else. This is the best approch to How to make your Ultra Classic tour pak Detachable. This is how I did the wiring.

Exactly. I'm no sparky but had me mate who is do it for me and is exact same as per your link, good post.
