Had a Denim Street Bob and a Denim VRod. Easy to care for, used Windex like most others. Didn't have either bike real long but thought it was easy to care for.
I have to say I like that blue color too. Tough decision.
Either bike is going to look nice. What were you thinking on pipes chrome or black? That may help you make a decision.
This is a tough decision for me. I like the Blue Pearl as is, I think I could honestly buy it and just ride it. When I think of a flat black bike, this is what I vision. So, there would be a LOT to buy lol. I love the look of the red laced wheels, so I thought of ordering a Black Denim with laced wheels and just ride it till it needs tires, then have them powder coated red and add the white walls then.
BUT, laced wheels look great to me, but they were a PITA to clean on my RKC and even though I never had a problem, I always worried I would.
It's the easiest finish to keep clean out of any glossy bike I've had. And even when it's dirty, she don't look that bad. I'll never have another glossy bike again. Something about the flat colors are just so bad ***. Just like an old hot rod car. BAD ***!!!
I have 2 summers on mine. The only bad thing I can say is mine has faded in the sun. I don't have a garage and I didn't have a cover the 1st 2 years. The paint does show some wear marks. Mine does not look like the people above with 3 years on the paint.
I had denim black 2010 SG , what a pain that finish was. Never again!
How so? I've not heard anyone else say this

I know it sounds counterproductive, but try some Harley gloss on it. If you look in the manual, it is one of the recommended products for the denim finish. I use it after the windex to even out the finish, get rid of the windex streaks, and it makes it look like new.
My bike is over two years old, has 27,000 miles and is my main mode of transportation.
Had mine over 4 years and the paint is so easy to keep clean. First year used windex, but now only clean with soapy water then leave it. Still looks great after all this time!!!
both my scoots are denim. I do use Harley Gloss once in a while, but usually a foaming window cleaner. My '09 still looks exactly like the finish on my '12.
