pardon the newb question - but is anti-monkey butt powder just goldbond or something more specific?

Also, do y'all still recommend the waterproof bags even if you're on a bagger?

Vacuum bags are good for packing both the clothes you're gonna wear and also if you buy any 'souvenir' shirts etc on the trip.....by vacuum bags i mean the ones you roll up and it removes the air

Good call. I'd say an extra key fob battery! Mines never died, but wouldn't it suck for it to happen the 1st time in BFE?

Change your pin code, know it and the procedure for starting your bike without the FOB. Saved my *** at 10 at night in the boonies when I stopped to stretch. A new battery would have been nice then and there, but I didnt have to worry about it.

There's a brand of powder for monkey butt....Gold Bond will work fine. Better yet, either free-ball it or wear some of those new moisture wicking cloth drawers...Underarmor or the numerous clones. Best bet, get a leather saddle.

Waterproof bags even on a bagger...hell yes. At 70mph, water gets into all sorts of crazy places. Garbage bags are cheap insurance for dry gear.

In answer to the OP....pair of jeans, pair of shorts, couple shirts, good leather, rain gear (maybe), and a pocket stuffed with cash. People have a tendancy to over pack...resist that urge, use the cash to buy the stuff you really "need" along the way. It'll be a pretty short list of true "needs"...next time you'll know.
