Don't forget medications (and take 1 day extra). I found small ziplock bags by pharmacy in Walmart that I put each day worth of meds & vitamins in, then all in a bigger ziplock bag. I buy the travel size plastic bottles from Wal-mart for shampoo, etc.
Fold your clothes in half or fourth, then roll tightly. Take a couple of 1 or 2 gallon size zip lock bags for dirty clothes (and squeeze air out as you put stuff in), makes finding clean clothes easier and you carry bags to do laundry (most mid-priced hotels has self service washer & dryer). I put enough detergent for 1 load in 1 small zip lock bag, fabric softner in another, then both in a bag.
We use the tourpak liner bags as luggage and I found after I pack it, I lay it on the bed or floor, sides down and push the rounded center in to make flatter, then carry to bike on it's side, makes it easier to slide in.
I would bring at least 1 fuel additive (octane boost) I did a trip and had to stop short of my destination in a small town they only had reg unleaded 85 octane. JMHO
