I have an '02 Roadking with a bolt on tourpak bar with a bolt on sissy bar back rest. I want to change over to a quick detach system. What all do I need? I have a set of bolts and round bushings. Are there any other parts I need to bolt to the bike to attach the sissy bar back rest, or the tourpak mount? I know I need the removable side plates ect, but is there any other brackets needed? Thanks
If it's like my 2012, there's a quick-release hardware kit that goes on the bike and of course the quick release sissy bar. Also they sell bolt covers for when you're not using them.
On my RKC I also had to get a hinge-stop kit that keeps the lid of the bag from flopping over and scratching on the bolts.
There's a 2-bolt kit that wilk fit just a sissy bar and a 4-bolt kit that will fit a whole bunch of things including a tourpack.
