I like mine. The only thing that bothers me is that since LED is so "directional" you either have light or you don't as compared to the gradual washout of a bulb.

So when in a left turn I can "lose" the median and have to be careful I don't get too close or hit it because with the lean angle it is no longer in the lighted portion of the beam.

Do y'all see this as well?

I see it too...that's why I've taken mine off for the last time; it will be for sale in the classifieds here. In a truck or something (where the nose of the vehicle isn't moving so dynamically in a turn), I'm sure the light would be great, but for me, I don't like the complete darkness above that wedge in a turn. If the "washout" you called it was there, I'd stick with it, even though I don't feel the light is very bright, but that "fan of light" has too sharp an edge to it in the turns for me.

Road this weekend with my Phase 6 headlight (had it for a while) and brand new $204 Phase 7 passing lights. I agree, 'you either have light or you don't', lean left and the left side goes dark, lean right and the right side goes dark so I'm going back to 'bulbs'. I guess they are called Truck lights for a reason. But they are greak going down a straight road in the dark.

I don't want just to be seen, I also want to be able to see.

I got mine, because I hope the lady over the age of 50 sees me and doesn't turn left in front of me!
There is give and take here with the Truck-Lite.
Have you tried the Harley LED?
I'll never go back! never!

Installed and aimed mine last week. What a PITA to aim the auxiliary lights...

Anyway - went for a 50 mile night ride on Thursday night, and all I can say is that I LOVE them. I went through some turns with a fair amount of lean - not footboard dragging lean - and didn't have any problem with peripheral cutoff. And if you're on a road where you can hit Hi beams and auxiliary lights - WOW! Like riding with your own beam of sunlight. I think they're a great addition, and they've definitely found a permanent home. Also have an LED Headlight Modulator (Kisan) and for daytime riding with the modulator on, it definitely got the attention of those in front of me.

I just installed the Phase 7 headlights and passing lights. Is there something special you have to do to have the high beams and passing lamps on at the same time? When I turn my high beams on it automatically shuts my passing lamps off.
