Default Primary Fluid

Hi all, i just read on here the other day that some people are using gear lube in their primay. I've heard of this in the tranny, but not the primary. Any thoughts on this? What are you guys running?

a heavier gear lube in the primary may be a little "sticky" for the clutch plates.
It may keep the plates and discs from making full complete contact esp. when cold- it may also allow the bike to creep with the clutch disengaged, more wear on the clutch, tranny and brakes

I know that are all kinds of magic fluids out there, but I keep running stock type fluids in my bikes and they last for years and years.

I'll bite.

Amsoil 20W-50 in all 3 holes.

20k miles and still going. Shifts smooth, easy to find neutral, clutch grips good.

Lucas Oil motorcycle 10/40W semi synthetic a good cheaper ($7/qt) alternative to Mobil 1 and Syn 3. Do not need $9+/qt oil in the primary
