Rotella Dino 15w-40. You can run any oil that carries the JASO M2 stamp. That spec means it's wet clutch safe. All the rotella lines of oil are JASO rated,as are the very expensive v-twin oils. Considering it's application I find no reason to put a high dollar lubricant in the primary when an inexpensive one will do. Save the expensive stuff for the engine

Agreed....Rotella goes in my primary as well, if it can handle a diesel engine its good to go in my primary.
Hi all, i just read on here the other day that some people are using gear lube in their primay. I've heard of this in the tranny, but not the primary. Any thoughts on this? What are you guys running?
Nope - gear lube for the gear box, motor oil du jour in the other two holes.
I run Amsoil 20/50 in the Motor, Amsoil 75/140 in the Tranny and Harley Formula Plus in the Tranny! Bike is nice and quiet and runs perfectly with this combo.
+1 with Rick. I used the same mixture for my ride and all is smooth.
