Default luggage racks

Just curious what luggage rack most use on your tour packs? HD has several models. Seems like the large one is the way to go to minimize scratching on the tour pack....Just looking for your comments....

thanks
Eric

I have the large deluxe one on my Ultra. Works great and looks good. And your right about keeping the top of the tour pack looking good.

great question! I like the looks of the small one, but have a feeling that to really make it useful and avoid scratches the premium rack is the one.I see itthe most at the service pickup.

Well it depends on whether you are just going for looks or you plan to use it for what it is intended. I went for the large one because I travel and I use a Dekker Supreme T-Bag.

I've ordered the large one for my Ultra. I've had 3 bikes in the past which I've put a large luggage rack on. If you plan to use it the bigger the better.

Yeah, unless you are trying to keep some particular theme look on the scoot, go for the big deluxe one. It also has the correct curves and bends and dishing so that a load is more likely to stay secured. Suggest using good quality cam straps for the load... bungees and snaps and velcro can fail.

Like it has been said , if you are going to use it get the Deluxe one. If you are doing it for looks, don't put one on at all because they are a Biatch to clean under. When I have my bag on I use a bungee net, works great.

I also have the smaller contoured rack, large enough to carry some extra gear, but not big and bulky looking, not to mention it was only $75.00( new )delivered to my door.
