After following the advice on the board, I finally worked up the nerve to cut my windscreen down. I didn't need to shorten it by much but by removing 1 1\2" I can now look over the top of it vs looking half way through it or stretching my neck up to look over it.
For anyone thinking about doing this, follow the instructions in the numerous threads & it will be a piece of cake!
Truly so Klaybus. Mine I did 4". But I'm only 5'8". Way better than stock. It seems like they built the RKC for NBA players, a few tweeks are needed for the average guy.
Investment and motorcyle should never be used in the same sentence, 98% of the time. I was all set following the youtube vid but someone bought the bike before I could make the cut, but if felt a little iffy putting the blade to the screen?
What did you guys do to dress the edge once you made the cut??
My friend has a little home shop so I did mine in his driveway. After cutting we made a couple light passes over the edge with a power sander then took a plain ol' razor blade and dragged it backwards over the shield at varying angles to form and smooth out the edge followed with holding the shield against a mounted cloth buffing wheel.

I used a power sander (1/4 sheet) with 220/400/ 1000/ 1500....then used semichrome polish to make it look perfect....the edge now looks much better than the edge the manufacturer put on it here is a before and after pics.
