engine top end dismantled - so far - no surprises
I took the top end down to the crank case to install a 103 upgrade, ACR heads, SE forged pistons. So far, no surprises, nothing broke, nothing seized, pretty straight forward. I was surprised to still see the honing marks in the cylinders...bike has 11k miles. The pistons do show signs of some skit slap....some of the black paint has been scuffed off. Check rod end and side play. both were fine. Have a little axial wiggle..more so in the front than the back...but there's no spec for axial wiggle...just side to side and end to end. so at this point.....going for the reassembly. Taking my sweet time...it's early april so not missing to much road time.
