A good friend of mine who rides a BMW wanted to try to ride me into surrender ,since a Harley could never go as far as a beemer in a day of ridding. Well we left at 6:30 am from Highland/Poughkeepsie N.Y. and got home at six p.m. Covering upstate N.Y. & Vermont.. Rode up to Scroon lake above Lake George and over the Crown Point bridge,onto RT22A and 22 South to Amenia N.Y. and Rt 44 over the Poughkeepsie Bridge, back to Highland. We covered 464 miles today and at 6:30am when we left it was cold..Like 22 degrees cold.. But it warmed up to the 50's in the afternoon.. My Friend got to ride my 012 Ultra and thought it was really nice.He's never been on a Harley before and left impressed. "Nice Bike and a great motor, handles real nice ". That from a die hard BMW rider is a big complement. I think I turned his head around alittle about how far you can ride a Harley in a day..We could have gone further but it was getting dark.. BMWs are just "Bar Bikes"........glad you took it easy on him.
