Help with Transmission clunk noise?

As others had said, Welcome to the world of Harley sounds. I've found that louder pipes help mute the engine noises.

A slightly overfilled primary can contribute to the clunk as well. As the fluid gets hot an expands, you get more clutch drag leading to more clunk.

Spectro 6 speed fluid quieted mine down alot.

Years ago I started using Redline VTwin w/ ShockProof in the tranny and the clunk quieted down, shifts smoother, neutral is easier to hit. I HIGHLY recommend using it! Liked it so much that Redline oils go in all three holes now, even guys at the dealer are using it in their personal rides.
