I was told that there is a plug under the seat that is from the acc switch in the dash so you don't have to remove the fairing to wire into the acc switch. Does anyone have a pic of what I should be looking for? There are a few plugs under the seat and I am sure one is the plug to plug in the code reader or whatever. Thanks
It's a square 4 pin plug. Will have a cap on it if not used.
It has wiring set up for both, aux. lights, and anything controlled by the Acc switch. If you already have Aux lights, you will need a splitter.
The receptacle is located under the seat and is a plastic dark colored rectangular box with a sealing plug in one end and 4 wires coming out the other end. This connector is a 4 pin Deutsch DT series. It has nothing to do with your Aux lights or the switch that controls them.
These are the circuits that the Acc switch controls.
Circuits For Touring Models:
Pin 1Orange/Red - Circuit powered when Ignition ON or ACC position Pin 2Red/Yellow - Circuit powered when Brake Light Circuit (on when brakes are applied) Pin 3Orange - Circuit powered when Ignition ON or ACC position and nacelle switch ON Pin 4Black - Battery Ground
