Is anyone running 18" tire/rims on their bagger...?
I'm sure there are a bunch of you....my question is I am trying to find a set of tires with the proper load rating to fit my rims....I have Met 880's on it now but the rear is rated at 73h and the front at 63h.
I know this is low for this bike which is an 05' stripped Electra Glide , no fairing, trunk etc... I can Find Dunlops to fit the front but not the rear.
I am running 130/70/18 on the front and 140/70/18 on the rear but want to switch to a 130 on the back.
What are you guys running on your 18" baggers ?
I was thinking of leaving the 18" on the front and switching back to the stock rim size of 16" on the rear to get the load rating.....what do you think..?
I know the Street glides run a similar set up...18 front and 16 rear.
For your bike with 18" if you want the highest load rating go with the Metzler ME880 140/70-18 (73 load rating) for the front and a Metzler ME880 150/70-18 (76 load rating) on the rear.
131tman....what side wall height are you running on your bike...? 70-80 ?
I think I might go back to the stock 16" on the back...I just bought the bike and there seems to be some clearence issues. Seems that the 130/70/18 on front and a 130/90/16 onthe back are onlr 4/10 " difference in overall diameter.
Im running 18's with avons on my 07. call coastal moto. 150 rear 130 front. They can tell you more. I have no clearance issues. That is why I went with avons
