There is no question I will not rely upon HOG for this service.
HOG - only tows to the nearest Harley dealership. In my case, the local dealer will not service my bike because I complained about the quality. So this benefit is useless to me, and HD corporate won't do anything about it. And it's only $100 coverage max for std. membership anyway.
AMA - max 35 miles - you pay charges over that distance.
Progressive Insurance (Which I have) - anywhere within 15 miles, or nearest qualified repair facility if ONE DOESN'T EXIST within 15 miles. That means if there's any sort of repair facility within 15 miles, that's where you're going. I want a choice.
AAA - I bought the RV / Motorcycle coverage for $37. Free tow up to 100 miles. Free fuel delivery (just cost of gas)- up to 4 times a year.
+1 on the upgraded HOG (Road America) cover my bikse and vechicles. Was using AAA until I went to my state legistlature hearing on mandatory helmet law being reviewed and heard a AAA paid lobbyist speaking how helmets should be mandatory. I for one do not like my AAA membership $$ being used in such way. Contacted AAA and told as such, they never responded so I cancelled my AAA membership.
