You cant beat the performance gain of a good 2-1 exhaust but i tend to think you get a little better sound out of a 2-2 exhaust. It's all a matter of opinion though. I know plenty of guys that swear by 2-1 exhaust, i just wanted something louder that had the true dual look. Also check out Rush and Jackpot exhaust. They both do amazing work and sound great.
As far as cams go, i went with se 255's. As previously stated they are cheap, but they are a nice came for the touring bikes. I just got my bike back a couple days ago from my local indy who swears by woods cams. After installing my cams he test rode it and said he was very impressed with what it did to the bike. He said it really woke it up, and for the $75 i paid for them, im happy with them as well. I also had rineharts extreme true duals before the cam install and sort of wanted something more. After the cams though my exhaust became noticibly louder. Hope this helps!
We went with V&H Pro Pipe Chromes - great pipes, great sound. I added a quiet baffle to mine so I can hear my grandson on the headset, my wife runs hers without the QB on her '10 Street Glide. She has a SE air cleaner and a HD flash and it runs GREAT.
Christos0320, best advice is get a plan together and decide where you want to go, do some research here and other places, make good decisions to not waste mooney and be disappointed. Fuel Moto, Rush and many others will give great guidance. In your case, like they said, loud may not = power. But what is your first preference? For me, I would give up all the sound in the world for power, but that's me. That said, my Jackpots are more than loud enough to satisfy my noise desire. However, I know folks that would give up a lot of power to be noticed rumbling down the road ..... just depends on what your main objective is.
Wicked sound from a V&H Pro Pipe. The power gain is there too. I had one on my 2010 Street Glide. Oh, by the way, it's the best lookin' 2-1 on the market in my opinion.
Try www.wildpigpipes.com look around I am running the slash cuts with 2 1/4 " baffle they have fiberglass packing in them that can be removed to give you the sound you are looking for !!!You might like the sound with the fiberglass in them !! Fiberglass can be removed with the pipes installed !!!
