Spending Spree
After many years wanting a painted inner fairing and lower fairings, and recently reading about new handle bars, pulled the trigger today and ordered them. Getting 14" Paul Yaffe monkey bars and dealer is ordering the lowers and the painted inner fairing. Was stressing whether to get the 12" or 14" monkey bars and luckily there was a bike in the shop with the 14's and it was perfect. Bike is a black 2001 Electra Glide Classic, I bought new. Will order the Power Commander III from Fuel Moto on Monday and hopefully that will get the fuel milage up, get between 28 and 32 mpg now and gentleman from Fuel Moto assured me would jump to 40-42 mpg with the PC III. Installed Reihardt true duals and a high flow air cleaner years ago and had dealer reflash. Dealer parts will be in within a month and having them install, my back is toast so will pay them gladly. Next on the list is a set of ***** Shiny 9 spoke chrome rims, a Sony stereo and maybe a new cam. Had the bike 11 years and didn't cost me much till I started reading this forum, so thanks everyone

Yup, this forum is a great place to learn a lot about motorcycles, but it gives you ideas that you would have never thought of if you hadn't ever logged on:+). Really though, this is a great forum.
Sounds like you're really gonna like what you're doin' to the EG Classic. Got one of those myself. It's a great motorcycle.
