New additions
Well after owning this bike 11 years, a 2001 Electra Glide Classic, decided I really love it and was ready to make some upgrades. Wanted vented lower fairings, painted inner fairing and 14 Paul Yaffee monkey bars. Went to one of the local dealers, placed order, waited 2 months on parts to get in, then had them installed. Well I actually installed the lower fairings as they came in after a 1 month wait, didn't want to be too lazy. For the lowers, I can not tell any difference with them on and would be upset I spent $650.00 on them, but I got them for speaker holders on future stereo upgrade. The painted inner fairing looks good, but Harley should paint these when building the bike. I had the fairing mirrors on and they put them back on the new fairing, don't like them with the new bars so will have to take em off and get the Kuryakn plugs, oh well. The 14 inch Paul Yaffee monkey bars, LOVE THEM. Changed the ride position, so much more comfortable now, sit more upright and seems the bike is more nimble. All this installed was right at 3 grand, was it worth it-probably not and I know I could have done it myself and saved money, but did not want to so I happily paid. Next up are ***** Shiny chrome 9 spoke rims and then the stereo, have big plans for that. 6 Focal speakers, 2 amps and a Kenwood head unit with all kinds of stuff on it. Told the wife and she said "why do you need a bigger stereo, you listen to talk shows on AM" told her true but I want them loud and in HD. Will post a picture if I ever take one and then can figure out how to post it.
