How much to replace all this?

Is $1400 to much to pay a dealer for parts and labor to replace stock cams, chain, bearings, lifters, plate, better oil pump, hydraulic tension shoes on a TC88? ( 2001 Road King )Or is that about right?

I had about $840.00 into that on a 05 RKC a year ago. I did the work myself and bought a few tools to.

sounds about right with the upgrade kit, cams, installation kit and labor...

I got quoted $1700 in labor alone from Patriot Harley in Fairfax, VA. I had emailed and said I found the kit online that includes new cams, plate, oil pump, adjustable pushrods and all gaskets. When they wrote back with that labor rate, I was like Uh yeah no thanks. I ended up selling my Softail and buying the Street Glide before I actually got it done.

800 sound about right minus that oil pump piece.

I was quoted $1400 at Rocky Mountain H-D. And the service manager is a friend. Included 2 hrs dyno time. Did it myself. $700 for the kit thru American Classic Motors with Andrews cams.
