I was flipping thru the Kuryakyn catalog and found these fork-mounted tie-down hooks. They bolt on underneath the turn signal mounts on a Street Glide and are much handier for tying the bike down than trying to use the handlebars. They also make them for other FL series bikes. I know there are a lot of Kuryakyn haters out there, but please save that for another thread. I'm just giving information on a helpful product.
Yup, I added them as well and just trailered the 1400 miles from Daytona Beach back to my Canadian home, they worked the very best.
I also added the Cargobuckle Strapping system to my trailer, they also work real well.
I saw the Cargobuckle system at Daytona Bike week but they were to expensive from the event dealer, saved $70 on the set off of Amazon.com.
It is all good!
I use them on the Pro-Dolly I have in the garage. It's easier than trying to thread a tie-down extension between the fairing and handlebars every time I want to put the bike on the dolly.
OH Ya Baby, when you have to spend long periods of time in different spots you can only carry so much on your bike, this is when trailering works well allowing you to move all of your requirements.
Weather also dictates when you can ride!!
I have the "teardrop" style on my Ultra.
I bought an extra set for my wife's Heritage but they won't fit it unless I remove the chrome wind deflectors and she ain't having that.
So, I guess I'll have to wait for someone to design a kit for the bike's with the wind deflectors.
