What is "ABS standard?" Is there more than one type of ABS?

Steve
Your dealer is wrong. I have an 09 SG & never has the brake felt mushy. There should be no difference form first pull to the 10th. The only time you will fell any difference is when you brake hard. Might fell a pulsating of the ABS?

The mushiness in the brakes - should be fairly easy to fix.

Mushiness in your dealer's head - not so sure.

No, he means ABS comes standard on his bike, not optional.

The dealer is full of BS. Have them bleed & use there Digital Tech machine to make sure all air is out of system.

I agree with what everyone else has said. I owned a 2009 Street Glide without ABS and now own and ride a 2010 Ultra Limited with ABS. I have noticed no difference in normal braking between the 2 bikes.

Yep! forgot to mention the Digital Tech machine in my response. Take it back only because my front brake did fail. Don't let them give you any crap about not being under Warranty. They tried that on me the first time. Said it was a maint job.

I got ABS on my 2010 Ultra. Very little travel in the front and rear both. I can stop pretty hard on "grippy" concrete just fine. Feels just like non-ABS. Then, if I really try, or am on dirt/gravel, yea - I can get 'em to chatter.

There should be NO difference in the feel of the lever/pedal between ABS and not.
