Forks leaking...help!

I chased leaking fork seals for a few weeks last summer, was really frustrating. Was usually the right seal, but sometimes both. Long story short: Too much fork oil. got the right amount in there and leaks stopped and ride was much smoother.

Thanls for the help everyone. I went to the local indy today to buy seals, bushings and fork oil, and he showed me the right way to put the seals in. I had them upside down (of course). I put everything back together and re-installed. Now it's 12:15am, so I'll wait until tomorrow morning to go for a test ride. We shall see...

Next time you do it put some oil on the fork tube and install the seal, move it up and down, one way the seal will slide over the oil and one way the oil will be cleaned off the tube. This is the side you want facing down. Learned that lesson the first time I did seals
