Default PCV vs SE tuner

I'm running the pcv. Someone suggested I should change and go to the se tuner. Are there any benefits to the se tuner over the pcv other than it doesn't piggy back the ecm.

The time to ask your question is before you have a tuner and you are in the market for one. At this point, already having a PCV, I think you're pissing into the wind considering a different tuner - unless there is some specific feature that the new tuner might have that you want to play with. If you're simply going to put it on the bike and never touch it, changing it now would be a total waste. My opinion only.

Not to hi-jack this thread, but does the SE Tuner allow you to adjust the lag out of the throttle? Because that is one thing the PCV can't do. How accurate is the SE Tuner for "Auto Tuning" without wide band O2 sensors as apposed to the PCV with Auto Tune and Wide Band O2 sensors?

A+! The PCV is a fine fuel management tool. And the biggest diference between the two is that you can only use it on one bike. With your PCV you can take it off and use it on your next bike as well. The SEPST (or whatever their latest model is) is married to your current bike and cannot be used on your next. The only way I would suggest getting a different tuner would be if you were planning on other serious engine modifications, and then having it dyno'd and that dyno tuner was only comfortable/competent with tuning with the SEPST.

Super Tuner: pros; no hang on part to fail, utilizes the entire engine management system, cheaper with auto tune included, dyno proven to make better hp and tq numbers, better fuel mileage, only one map required for mileage AND horse power!
Cons; cant take it with you to next bike....SO WHAT, your getting a new bike put new parts on it.

Power Commander: pros; initially cheaper with out auto tune.
Cons; more expensive (200-300 more) with auto tune, drops the O2 sensors lowering fuel mileage, less RPM/Throttle position blocks to adjust, prone to failure, vulnerable to moisture, dyno proven to make less hp/tq on same bike!
