So yesterday I'm headed into my gym and see an ultra with some kind of air cleaner that appeared to be like the SE Heavy Breather I run
BUT.....
It was bent up in the air to avoid hitting the uppers
Not pointing straight up mind you, but rather bent upward
It appears to have the mini air filter and chrome pointed and slotted cover but the elbow looked to have it pointed slightly upward at maybe 30 degrees
I hope it's there tomorrow or the next to take a pic and ask if I can get the owner, but thought I would take a shot on the boards
Almost looks like the spike AC from Demons Cycle, but I just don't know if that one has the flexibility of setting the angle on the AC so it's not just either straight up at 12 o'clock or straight out at 3 o'clock
Not the entire bike as a one off custom, just the piece you speak of. Now I would really believe that it is a one off custom when you say there was an image of the "dead" on the fairing. Look at all the old magazines with all the custom pieces on the bikes. Before Dennis Kirk, J&P, S/E either you made it, or it was OEM replacement.
I had to make a plate about a year ago to get a round air cleaner to bolt up to a S/E Keihin carb so I could put a new air filter on it. Was not that hard, just had to use my imagination. Imagination is not an app.
that angle seems a bit too high this wasn't anything like that, rather the angle instead of being straight out at 3 o'clock was at 2 o'clock and that was enough to have it clear the lowers
the reason I am asking is because I thought that was a great way to have lowers and still have the heavy breather
