Thumbs up Installed a few things

I had been on the fence about apes for my 'glide. I looked at photos of just about every option available from standard bagger apes to some of the custom stuff and just couldnt find the right match of price and looks.
I finally went with Prime Apes from LA Choppers and am very happy with the look and fit. I ordered their cables and wire extensions along with some poly bushings and the 1 piece top clamp.
My bike didnt have cruise from the factory and I had also been looking around for a kit but struck out at all the dealers. I finally found a company called Cruisemount that puts the equivalent of the factory kit together. It is more expensive but at least it was available.
While I had everything else apart i decided to add a new windshield to get a bit more wind protection so I ordered a Long Ride Ultra 12" medium tint. Two days later I had a box from LR with a 12" flat top in it. At first I was just going to return it but the more I looked at it, the more I liked it so on it went.

I have to say the hardest part was the clutch cable. I took the exhaust off rather than use the cut down allen wrench. I was a bit scared of doing the internal wiring after reading some of the stories but I had no issues. I just pulled the pins out of the connectors, left the factory sheath on the wiring and pulled it through with a bit of cord off a string trimmer. I spent 5-10 min per side pulling the wires and then another hour or so to solder the extensions.
Everything fit perfectly and I must say the look of the bike is completely transformed. I love it and wish I had done it all sooner.

I'm 6'3" with a 32" inseam so all my height is in my upper body. I look over the top of the 12" windshield.
