Check out the Fast Aire Aero shields, too. They have the popular "flip" design, are made of polycarbonate and are available in sizes.

I love mine!

Get a Harley air pump; otherwise, you'll blow the innards out of those shocks.

I think 40-50 psi is the standard range of most riders.

This is a trip I hope to make sometime. The wife and I took the cage down last summer and stayed in Asheville, scoping out the area for posrt retirement living. It's absolutely beautiful country down there!

Book early! We saw tons of bikes when we were there.

According to the 2011 SG manual you should be running 10-20 psi in your rear shocks when riding solo.

Like was said before, make sure you get a good shock pump. I've got the HD one and it works great.

Have fun out there and I might see you on the road neighbor.

Congrats on the new ride! I would check the air pressure in the shocks right away. I've never had any of my buddys have a problem right off the show room floor, but mine rode like crap until I checked it and they were empty. I took it back to the dealer later and had them fill them since I didn't have a shock pump yet. Not complaining b/c things happen, but just thought i'd give you a tip if you are not happy with the way the rear feels.

If you have time, ride to Franklin, Cashiers, and Highlands via hwy 64. It's a beautiful ride. I love living in upstate SC b/c of the mountain roads to ride here and in western NC.

I agree. Thanks for your impressions. I too am doing that exact same thing. Other than what you mentioned I love my street glide.
