Anyone have any experience or know of anyone who has with the new H-D Premium Ride Double Cartridge Fork Kit & the Premium Ride Hand-Adjustable Touring Shocks?
These can be found in the 2012 H-D Catalog, page 399 & 400.
I do have the Premium Ride Hand-Adjustable Touring Shocks and were a great improvement over stock. My wife used to complain about the rough ride with the original shocks and she was pretty impressed. You can find a sale for less than $400. Install and adjustment are a breeze.
I was surprised when I pulled the saddlebags to learn that the prior owner installed the HD Premium Ride Rear shocks on my 2010 RG. At first I was unimpressed with the ride, but now that I dialed it in to match my weight, I agree that they're better than the stock air shocks.
Also real easy to adjust for when you go from solo to 2up or to loaded bags.
Here is the link to the thread where skratch posted the shock adjustment chart:
It looks like you could do both front and rear using the HD kits for around the same money as the blue label Ohlins rear shocks retail for. Not knocking the Ohlins, but damn, they're pricey.

Ride safe,

I was sooo close to spending the $ on the same rear shock, also considered Ohlins/Progressive's etc. but after researching here on this forum, found a thread on rear shock oil, I changed my rear oil to a heavier weight oil and wish I would have done it 3 years ago, but good luck with what ever you decide.
I've got the HD premium ride front and 13" rear. Yes, they ride nicer than stock by a long shot. The shocks are great for the price for sure!
The cartridges I'm not so impressed with. I think the Ricor Intiminators I had in before worked better. Far better with respect to brake dive, and they also absorb sharp edge bumps better.
