Default Help I.D. This Part

Last summer I had some trouble disconnecting the wire plug to the headlamp on my 2008 ultra. I ended up having the rubber boot come off from the housing and I think this part came from the inside. I looked through the owners manual and found nothing about where this part may have come from. I don't have a service manual so I am reaching out to anyone that knows exactly where the heck this thing goes and how. I figure since I still have the fairing off since getting my HK radio back from Iron Cross now would be a good time to find it's proper home.

That is the wire spring that holds the light bulb in the housing.

Not sure how it is placed inside there. Can someone elaborate for me?

Yup! Without that your bulb is loose. One end goes under the latch under the screw and the other then snaps into place. Hope the attached picture helps.
