Default What is this?

Found this ground wire unplugged today. Comes off the headlight wire loom and plugs into a spade on the triple tree, visible below the radio.

Have suffered no ill effects, might have been unplugged for years for all I know?

hard to tell without knowing which model/year you have

if attached to the headlight loom, it could be used position light wire, or could be for fender tip light and you have a FLHR or model that doesn;t have one

Sorry, should have mentioned that it's an '11 Ultra.

Not sure but everytime I take my outer off mine is disconnected. I took a bit of the wire out of the loom this time to give it more slack..

I honestly don't remember ever noticing it in all the times I've had the fairing apart.

That's funny, I noticed the same on mine. I don't think it's ever been connected. Mines an '11 Limited too.
