Hoping someone here can help me out with a wiring question. I'm installing the chrome freighttrain headlight nacelle on my '94 FLSTN and the old (factory) setup had the black wire from the 3-wire plug attached with a rivet to the headlight housing (I'm assuming a ground). The lamp housing for that came with the new nacelle has no place to attach a ground. I assume on newer bikes you splice all three wires from the plug (yellow, white, black) to existing wires. My question is, can I just attach the black wire somewhere on the housing and call it good? I'm a total idiot when it comes to electrical stuff and don't want to screw this up...

 

Yea Pritty much that's what I did bro

 

Attach the ground wire to the front tank bolt. It provides a much better ground than the one in the headlight bucket anyway.

Found a good ground where the old headlight mounting block used to go. Thanks for the help! Nacelle is all on (looks sick) and now time to wrestle with the passing light bracket! I'll post some pix when done.
