been doing some reading on here and going to go for the wo502s from what i understand i need +6 on the clutch, brakes and wire extensions went to the harley store to get them and pretty sure my parts guy has no idea what i need as he tries to sell me absolutely everything he can (my buddy bought 80 dollars worth of stuff he didn't need for his fatboy bar change 2 weeks ago and can't return it)
i would like to get a kit with all wires and cables in it if thats possible any info recommendations would be great
also i have never done a bar install/soldering electronics but was trying to talk myself into tackling this myself (need to save the money).. i do have a friend who does bike work and he says he will do anything for half of what harley quotes me from what i've read that can be upwards of a grand.. any input on if this might be a tough install better left to the pros or should i be good?
i know there's a million threads on this issue but just wanted to make sure i've got all my bases covered before i tear my bike down and miss riding time
I've been toying with the idea of going mini or perhaps 10" apes and will be watching this thread for a one stop shop on a kit. I did a search on it few days ago and there are older threads with huge amount of info, but after awhile it gets overwhelming. There's a Doctor who is like the authority on apes and pretty nice guy it seems that may chime in...hopefully he will, his forum name escapes me tho?
I just put the 502's on my 08 Roadglide. The only thing that had to be extended was the brake line. Im not sure about how much different it is for the road king but the project is not that bad, especially considering you dont have a fairing to deal with. Keep searching on here and you will find plenty of info. If you want a kit look at hill country customs.
I would recommend Hill Country Customs. Just give them a call and tell them what you need or want and they can box something up for you really easy. As for the project, go for it. The hardest part is fishing the wires through.

To do the ten inch minis (WO 515), all you need to do is extend the wires. Phat Performance sells a kit (I used the 15" in case I go bigger later) that is REAL easy to use. I mean REAL easy. I did my brother's bike without the kit and it added a hour and a half of soldering to the job. All and all though, this is not hard at all...
