I just installed a set of the CVO rear shocks on my 09 Road Glide. They work very nicely. I has the 13's that came on the bike. The CVO's are 12 inch and they still work better then the 13's. I like the 1 inch drop in the rear.
Love the ones on my bike once I set them up for my weight properly. And yes I agree, these are much more comfortable than the shocks on my old Limited despite being an inch lower.
What did you do to adjust them? I have the same shocks on my RoadKing...
If you do in fact have the same shocks that come on my bike, behind the left saddle bag ( if your on the bike left side) there is a *** that you can turn to adjust pre-load. There are different settings on how many clicks for certain weight, each click you hear is at the half turn mark. If you need a setting pm me and we can go over the weight you need to set for. I hadn't done this until after I put over 1K miles on the bike in 4 days, and man what a difference when set up properly, lol.

I have mine set at zero clicks and it is still a bit stiff. I think I am too light for these shocks...they are much better than the stock ones but are still not super plush...

They mount the same.... but your swingarm won't be able to handle the stress of having compression and rebound damping split between the two shocks. One side is compression, and the other is rebound..... The later swingarms are a lot beefier.

Your preload is set to rigid, lighten up on spring pressure, follow sag rules, very import to set proper sag 1st, then fine tune with ****...
