Default Rear shocks for street glide?

My brother is thinking of moving from his SG to a new CVO Limited for a better ride. This would be a considerable cost compared to just modding his existing bike to be more comfortable. He has a 2012 SG with about 15k in motor work and accessories plus the cost of the bike. What would be a good choice of shock to make the bike ride more comfortable in the back and still retain the lowered look? I don't think he would want an adjustable set up that would require constant adjusting to get it right, just a good replacement option that would offer a smoother ride if it exists. Thanks!

progressives 940 series and depending on his requirements, may or may not need a lighter spring

For $500 he can buy the same shocks that come on the CVO.

And he can sell his current set for around $100.

True but he is looking at over all comfort on the CVO Limited. Large padded seat, better shocks, GPS, and all the other nice things they added to the 2014. I was just trying to give him an option that would let him keep the beast he built and still be comfortable. I told him to but a set of good shocks on it and take his seat to have a gel insert worked into it.

I put a Corbin on my 14 Limited.

And you can't putthe 14 forks on an older model.

A buddy of mine has a take off seat from I believe a 12 CVO Street Glide for sale.

.... the only to have a 14 CVO is to buy a 14 CVO. *wink*

I wish him luck finding the happy place!

Hey Call Howard. Great guy with great products. I have a set of JRI shocks from him on my 2012 SG. It's like changing from riding in a Yugo to a Cadi. It is unbelievable the difference in the ride and how long you can ride by changing to a good pair of shocks. I should have done it a long time ago.

Howard will set everything up for you and is willing to help as much as he can.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I will pass them on to my brother. I spoke with him last night and I think he has decided against trading his bike in but said he spoke with the guys at Paul Yaffe Bagger Nation in Az and it looks like he will be dropping his bike off with them this winter. He has more money than he knows what to do with...lol
