Just thinking of taking away the log wagon ride of my 2010 Streetglide without braking the bank. Just wondered if the 2012 CVO Streetglide shocks would be a good alternative for a better ride. I know of the after market shocks can get pretty expensive as well.
Any body tried these?
Good Timing, I just asked my mech yesterday the same thing. He said the cvo shocks are the HD premium shocks ("12 ). Bang for the buck you'll disappointed.
A sg will allways ride like a sg albeit a LITTLE better. Good luck. Oh yeah the allternative....LIMITED

The CVO shocks are the HD Premium Hand Adjustable Shocks made by Showa I believe. They are available on e bay for about 429.00. One shock is set for compression and one for rebound damping. They are available in 12 and 13 inch, the 12 still have only 2" travel and that is always going to effect ride.
Do a search thre are a few reviews of them, they seem to be better than stock, for about 30.00 more (459.00) the Progressive 940 are available and for about 150.00 more (550.00 -575.00) Ohlins 2-2a are available from Motorcycle metel with the forum discount

I've not done alot of digging yet on shocks but does the ohlins have more than 2"'s of travel?
The CVO shocks are the HD hand adjustable premium shocks. They are available in both a 12" or 13" length. I have them in the 13" length on my Streetglide so I get a bit more travel than stock. In my opinion, they are much better shocks than the Progressive 440's or 940's and an excellent and cheaper alternative to both the Ohlins #2's and 3's. You can find them at a discount dealer for about $400. IMO, they are the best bang for the buck shocks out there. But I'm one of those few guys who think the Ohlins #3's, while good, are vastly overrated. YMMV
