Default new CVO shocks

the 2010 FLHXSE CVO did away with the standard air shocks and went with a coil over shock that had the left shock adjustable for preload.

I also noticed these are in the current parts catalog.

Anyone try these on their bike? Just curioius on the ride and improvement over the air shock.

go to SEARCH & put in HD ADJ. AIR SHOCKS. there are several guys running them. I was thinking about a set for my 11 FLTRX 103.

For what your going to pay for those HD shocks move up to Ohlins or such. Should not be much difference in price but a big difference in ride. Just my opinion but I'm sure others will chime in with the same advice.

These are not air shocks, but standard coil over from what I can see or gather. Also - where am I going to get Ohlins for under $500?

I put them on my 09 Street Glide, they are a major improvment....................and they don't leak air like my stock shocls did every week.

Now compared to an Ultra shock, they are not quite as smooth.

call Howard off hours & week-ends (he prefers) for a free consultation about shocks in general - he loves to share his knowledge about suspension - no hard sell - mention the forum

Buy Ohlin's once in your life (great guarantee & totally rebuildable) - have one of the best rides out there ! for the $ your bike cost - the ride should be one of the top priorities ... whats a few hundred more over the lifetime of the bike - then move them to your future touring ride ... or sell the stock shocks if your short on cash to fund the new Ohlin's - but keeping the stock shocks allow to you to keep the Ohlin's when switching bikes ...

Mine are totally a joy to ride - #3-3, I hated the stock 09 RGSE air shocks, which made the bike NOT what it should have been from day one (MoCo Cheapo)

Worked for me
