Any one have any issues with the seat? My old lady is constantly complaining that her a$$ hurts on long rides. Anyone upgrade yet and if so to what?

on my 2011 mine hated the factory seat, i have a bad lander that i would se except when she rode and nw she will only ride with the badlander. im sure its not the most comfortable seat but we both like it and it has a low profile and looks good on the bike

no need to swap it

send it out to Mean City Cycles

you can do the upgrade to both your seat and for an extra $75 get hers done also

the basic services they do is take your stock seat and re-form it for you with memory foam, if you need to be dropped an inch or moved foward an inch, or have the front of the seat narrowed some, they can do that for you

additionally they can re-do the passenger section of the seat with memory foam for the ol lady and fix he **** from hurting

that would be my first call

they have helped WAY more folks on this forum from spending extra $$$ on aftermarket seats and almost everyone is completely satisfied with their work and money spent.

I took the stock seat off mine the day I bought it. I saved the Mustang Wide Tripper seat I had on my '10 SG and put it on. All you have to do is pick up the two seats and feel the weight difference since the Mustang has a high quality dense foam. The wide tripper is also sleek and follows the lines of the bike well.

I've had my new Rush Racing Products Cyclepedic Seat on my 2012 SG a week or so now, and I like it so far. It's a slightly higher than the stock seat, but it's wider and thicker in both rider and passenger areas, and seems well made.

There are many opinions on this, for each it may be different. In our case the wife picked out the sundowner before we left the shop with our new 2011 streetglide based on recommendations from the sales rep. She likes it very much, even more than the mustang we had on our Honda VTX. We've got over 17,000 miles on it now and she still loves the seat.

We've got that one as well and my wife likes it a lot better than the stock seat. One nice thing about it is it matches the style/ pattern/ stitching of the stock SG seat, so the backrest or tour pack match regardless of whether I've got the stock seat or Sundowner on there. Personally I like firm seats like Corbins, but my wife likes a litte more padding so the Sundowner fits the bill for her.

Default 2011 or 2012 SG seat

I am currently in the market for a 2011 or 2012 SG seat. If any of you have replaced and are looking to get rid of your stock SG seat that fits my criteria please let me know.

Thanks in advance!
